The Uttarakhand Government has transferred nearly ₹11 crore directly into the bank accounts of more than 4,400 registered construction workers through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system under the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
Chief Minister Dhami has directed officials to increase awareness so that more eligible workers register under welfare programmes.
District-level camps are expected to play a larger role, helping workers complete registrations, access benefits and receive information closer to where they live and work.
